Red Styrofoam pad with stryro foam balls underlayment
So I'm planning on putting hand scraped engineered floating hardwood floors throughout my downstairs. The are the lock-n-tight type panels.
It will be installed on a concrete slab.
Home Depot sells this underlayment that is a redish pad that feels like Styrofoam but is waterproof. On one side it has white mini Styrofoam balls all over it. Supposedly you put the Styrofoam balls on the concrete side and the red foam side towards the wood panels.
Has anyone used this underlayment before and what's your take on it? Any other better ones?
My goal is to have strudy feeling for the floor and no hallow sound.
Is felt a better material?
OH i just found the name of the Red underlayment at Home Depot.
It is manufactured by Harmony,
As long as the manufacturer warranties.
They are picky
so has anyone seen these being sold at home depot? They have a stock full of them at nearly all the home depots I've been do. However I haven't been able to find any reviews on these from consumers...
I have the same question...
Hi Genner -
Did you even find an answer. Did you use the Harmony underlay, if so what do you think. If not, what did you use.
