Really bad concretebasement floor

Hello,
when we bought our house, the basement floor was paint in an ugly orange. The paint seem to be powdery. An "expert" at the hardware store recommand an oil paint wtih epoxy in it. Unfortunately, the floor seem to "bleed" with paint chipping over the orange one who still changing for powdery texture. It makes our house very dusty. What should we do?

Thank you very much

Really bad concretebasement floor

Sounds like you may have a moisture problem. It is never smart to paint a floor, even if the conditions are normal. You need to grind the paint until you get to good concrete. Research this so you do it safely. Figure out if you have a moisture problem and then evaluate the choices of flooring.
