Re-gout over re-grout


its new grout down about a year and sealed about 3 coats. But noticed that the grout is not enought
that was put down in the kitchen. And want to add more to make it more level with the tile and easier to clean . Help

Not sure I understand the issue. Are you saying that the existing grout isn't close enough to the surface of the tile? In other words, the grout lines are too deep?

If so, not to worry. You can lightly grind off the layer of sealant and re-apply all the grout you want. Depending on the quality of the sealant used, you may not even have to worry about the grinding step.

Hand saw out some of the old grout... they make a little tool for this. Vacuum up all dust and old grout. Re-grout with sanded grout to the heigth you want.
