Raising the level of concrete floor

Hi,

My house is almost 25 years old, it is built out of concrete and bricks. It is a two story building. The floor is plastered from cement and the problem which I am facing is that level of the floor has gone down as compared to the road outside. As it is an old house, so it was constructed before the construction of roads. Now my house is almost half a meter lower than the level of road.
Is there any way out to raise the level of base without reconstructing the whole building. Note that if the level of the floor will be raised using concrete coating then the distance between the floor and the ceiling will reduce, which I am not in favor of doing.
Any suggestion is very much awaited.

Raising the level of concrete floor

I'm assuming the .5 meter (approximately 1.5 feet)! is the fall from the road to the entrance of a garage? How far are you from the road?

Raising the level of concrete floor

Wow! That's quite a drop-off. I assumed we were discussing a home in the country that had the road at the end of the driveway regraded, but that doesn't seem to be the case. Pictures would be helpful to avoid any confusion.

Thanks
