Raise concrete floor.
I'm tiling my basement bath but i would like to make the tiles flush with the rest of the basement laminate which is 1.25" off the concrete. My tiles are 5/16" thick. What's the best method to raise my tiles to meet the laminate.
I would like some sort of thermal break. I would also like to ensure they're not going to crack.
Would pouring scratchcoat mortar on metal lathe work?
Please help. Thanks.
Use self leveling compound mixed with sand or P gravel---
Or pack the floor with deck mud that is set into a bed of fresh thinset.
