Quality of Pergo engineered HARDWOOD?

Pergo makes an engineered hardwood floor (no, it's not a laminate), which Lowes sells for pretty cheap: they've just lowered the price to $3.00/sq ft. It comes with a 20-yr warranty. Can anyone comment on its quality? In particular, how does it compare to Bruce engineered hardwood? The Bruce costs almost twice as much. (It comes with a 25 yr warranty.) In paying the extra to get the Bruce, what would I be paying for?

Thanks!

Haven't seen this particular item. But first of all, forget about the 20 year warranty....means nothing. If it's only $3.00, it means that is the most they think they can get for it. If they could get .50 cents more they would and be ahead even if they then sold 20-30% less.

It may be a good value? Most people simply choose products by the way they look, and how cheap it is, instead of how it's made and more importantly with what quality products. I'll bet you an espresso that it's made in Asia someplace. In which case, it's really no big deal, value wise.
