pulling up the z bar

When I removed 4 feet of carpet next to two walls in my living room to put down ceremic tile, the guy that cut the carpet and restretched it put down z bar where the carpet meets the tile.He glued the z bar down with epoxy. I want to change the carpet and replace it with wood floors. How do I get the z bars up?

I would think a chisel and hammer should do the trick, or maybe a pry bar.

I haven't starting doing it yet. Just trying to see if it is worth the trouble to pull the z bar up or to lay down carpet again. I would have to pull up about 32 feet of z bar. The carpet tack strips on top the z bar are not glued down, only the metal z bar. Will that epoxy come up fairly easy with a chisel and hammer? I forgot to mention it is epoxied onto a concrete slab.
