I am remodeling a large kitchen that currently has vinyl installed. We will likely put in 3/4" hardwood or something close. Do the cabinets need to be pulled and raised? Or are there other methods to get the proper height? We will be pulling all drawers and doors to paint so this shouldn't be an impossible task, just need help with the best method to get the cabinets to the right height. Thanks!
It is ideal to remove the base cabinets---install the flooring and reset.
Another method is to add a 3/4" piece of wood (stained to match) on the top of the cabinets--to lift the counter top to the correct height.--That one is tougher to pull off successfully because of the color match.
