Prep For New Sheet Vinyl

I am getting ready to install new glue-down sheet vinyl flooring over existing sheet vinyl in two bathrooms. What is the best leveler to use to fill in the embossed surface on the existing sheet vinyl? Is this leveler cement-based? I assume it's just floated on. Do you have any tips on applying it? Thanks.
