Porcelain Tile Floor
I found a polished porcelain floor tile for my kitchen/dining room. Now comparing companies for the best doing so I learned that some polished porcelain tiles have a thin top layer of glass. Does anyone know if this is the way to go....should I only consider the glass layered, or is polished good enouph?

All "glazed" ceramic tiles have a top-coat of glass-like covering.
Porcelain tiles come both glazed and unglazed and are in fact also ceramic tile but of a slightly different recipe.
Polished porcelain usually doesn't have a top-coat because it is hard enough and dense enough to be able to polish the surface without the glazing.

Stay with a porcelain tile, you won't go wrong there.:)

if its shiny and really smooth it'll be slicker' n' snot when it gets wet.
