Polyurethane Coverage

Yesterday my wife and I re-polyurethaned our wood floors. We screened them with 120 grit, then hand sanded all the corners, and cleaned and wiped with mineral spirits. We used Bona and I was surprised at the coverage of the poly. For two coats but only used a can and a half for the first coat. We used a 1/4 nap mohair rollers and tried to keep them wet. The floor looked plenty wet but after rolling about 1300-1400 sqft, I was surprised we didn't even empty two gallons. I havent seen them dry yet but am concerned that I didn't put enough down, since the cab says it covers 500 sqft

Does this sound right for a re-coat?

Thanks,

David
