Polyuerthane on vinyl tile?

Anyone ever try putting polyuerthane on vinyl tile? I was curious if it still has the same desired effect.

The same one you're supposed to get when you apply polyuerthane to hardwood, a shiny tough coating.

Polyuerthane on vinyl tile?

Interesting. So the polyuerthane would come off from the tile?

Polyuerthane on vinyl tile?

I would think so. Maybe not Vinyl Composition Tile, V.C.T. but regular vinyl. Its too soft. VCT could be waxed and buffed to a shine. VCT is like whats used in schools and hospitals, etc. I doubt thats what you have. So, if it IS VCT you could achive your results w/o poly. If not VCT then its likely too soft.

This is probably what you want

Polyuerthane on vinyl tile?

Thanks. I wonder if this product will give me a shinier finish than the one that came with my tile although I somehow doubt it.
