Pergo Presto - Snap, Crackle, Pop

Hi!

I'm new to DIY and hope to get some needed assistance with my Pergo Presto installation. I had purchased enough to cover my 400 sq. feet. I did my research and found a padding that Pergo sold that was green and absorbed sound. I live in South Florida and had a hardwood floor that was removed a little bit only to discover mold underneath. As my contactor continued remove it there was more and more mold. The floor is concrete and was properly cleaned. Down went the green barrier and then the Pergo. It was beautiful. I noticed a little creak in one area. The contractor said that it's settling with the spongy green barrier. Okay, makes sense. As the weeks passed I noticed that more and more spots were creaking and making noises. A couple of months later and I'm embarrased to have people over. I get "what's with all the noise?". I'm not sure where to go with this. I bought the Pergo from Home Depot. I'm ready to pull it all up and put down tile flooring like I had originally planned. I'm a single Mom and the idea of spending even more money to rip it up and put down new tile isn't making me happy.

Anyone have any suggestions?

From my understanding, this has been a massive issue with this floor from Pergo and Home Depot.
I had thought this was all cleared up and gone away....but I guess not.
I talked to the REP a couple years ago about this issue, and I understood they took care of those clients by replacing or refunding.
Contact the store (home depot?) and inquire about it.
