pergo flooring

I had a water leak which made my pergo floors chip away, they are the old ones that had to be glued together even though they are snapped together. There are two places that are chipped up. Tried to replace the wood flooring it loks terrible

Ok, so now it all need to come out and be redone.
Only time it was suggested to be glued was if it was laid over a slab.

the early pergo had to be glued because it didnt snap together. i was planning on putting the laminate i took out of the kitchen and hallway in the basement but it was glued and had to be destroyed to get it up. there were extra pieces in the basement and they just slide together and don't lock. home depot used to rent the clamping kit you needed to do pergo floors back then.

Well, water is an old enemy of the pergo flooring. You need to replace your flooring completely.

Yes don't do it. Look at refinishing the parquet or engineered flooring or real hardwood.

Or bamboo or cork.

Point is, people are on to laminate and it is what it is. It was once a step up from vinyl and it was supposed to outlast hardwood, save forests and even slice and toast bread. Pergo, to start, came with outrageous warranties but there was so much fine print most people got screwed. It has not worked out well.

It screams cheap and not just budget conciousness.
