Painted Floors

I have 60 year old pine flooring with paint on it. We have tried stripper and a floor sander but nothing will remove the paint. I was wondering if there was any suggestions out there. I want to strip/sand the floor and stain. I thought about something like a planer but I am open to any suggestions.

Sanding should get the paint off, its just very tedious and time consuming. Did you use a drum sander or circular? As for using stripper you may have to use it 3 or 4 times depending on the number of layers that are on the wood.
