painted concrete floor to be covered with ceramic tile

I have a30 year old painted concrete basement floor , I want to install ceramic tile , how much of the paint do I need to remove to ensure the bond is good with the thin set ? or are the alternatives ? The floor is flat ,dry and no cracks .
Any suggestions ?

I would like to see 100% concrete, I'd settle for 85%.

Rent a floor buffer with carborundum stones---any chemical stripper will soak into the concrete and may cause bonding failure.

Paint is recognized as a major bond-breaker when it comes to installing ceramic tile on top of it so it is recommended that it be removed totally. This should be done mechanically as chemical removal is also discouraged.

Shot-blast, sand-blast, grind, etc.
