Outdoor tile heating question

I live in chilly Minnesota and would like to tile my front entry area. Is it possible to use some type of electric heating mat or cable under the tile? The area is bare concrete now and about 6'x8'. Any help at all would be appreciated.

Yes, just google it, I like easy heat or nu-heat....

i have the electric mat under my tile and it works great. if you have bare concrete now it would be easy to do. i can't remember the brand i bought, but you can even get the matting at depot or lowes now

I didn't realize the stuff they sell at the box stores would be fine for outdoors in minnesota. Surprising. Thanks for the info.

check the manufacturers website or give them a call to make sure, but i have seen these types of systems used outdoors. ( the most common use of these products is in bathrooms, so it makes sense that you can expose to moisture) Also, make sure you have a GFCI breaker if there is not one build into the thermostat, but make sure you do one or the other. if you do both they will just constantly trip each other
