outdoor slate tile maintenance
 

I put BEHR Interior/Exterior Low-Lustre Sealer on my outdoor slate tile (under a covered porch) and now I have white haze covering much of the tiles that looks terrible.

What should I do?

You should remove it using what ever Behr tells you to use. 1-800-854-0133 ext. 2

Why did it turn white? Could be several reasons. I would say you applied it too thick, or the concrete is damp, or, it's too cold.

That product is a topical acrylic sealer which I would never recommend.

what type of sealer should I use?

Once the old is all removed, you can use a penetrating sealer made for the purpose. It should look like water not milk. It's breathable so the moisture that gets under will be able to evaporate. Is the porch elevated or on grade?
