Options for waterproofing cement shed floor

10x11 Shed is a hundred feet from backyard water canal and the ground is very very moist all the time. (South florida)

Considering waterproofing the cement floor of the shed and putting tile over it.

Looking for thoughts, suggestions, costs of options .

Our contractor is talking about using something he calls 'compression paper' to line the cement floor before laying down the tile as a waterproofing technic by I can't seem to really identify this product.

Your thoughts???
thanks!

Thanks!

Actually, the contractor ended up going with "cork board" as an insulator below the tiles... and above the cement..

Hmm.. any thoughts?

Cork is great for sound deadening but not meant for moisture protection. Cork is naturally moisture resistant but I would consider a true moisture barrier under the cork.
