Old Wood Floors

I watched as Kayleen mixed drywall mud, paint and wood putty and floated it on old wood floors to fill cracks like grout. My consern is the drywall mud shrinking. I would love to use this method but a little scared. Does this work and how long does it last without shinking?

Is this Kayleen, someone we are supposed to know?
