Old shower grout issue

I have a really old master shower >than 25 years that I want to remodel down the road. Just wondering if I can do something in the meanwhile to buy me time. Thanks

Remove the old grout and redo it.
Fastest way is with an ossilating tool, also called a multi tool.

is the grout loose, or you just have some of these spaces between solid grout?

I think in some spots it's loose. Others it's not.

I used some grout touch-up in a squeeze tube - like caulk comes in. Definitely not the "right" way to do it, but it's quick and should hold up for a few years in thin grout lines.
