Old linoleum

We ripped up two layers of old flooring in our kitchen down to a very old layer of linoleum. It is in pretty good shape aside from a couple of quarter sized areas were the linoleum is cut out, three 4' long cut markings, and a hundred nail holes from the flooring level that was above it. Should I lay a layer of plywood down before I have my laminate wood flooring installed?

Old linoleum

If your Lino has no lifting visible anywhere then I would just go over it with your foam and flooring but you might want to think about any flooring thats going to butt up to it in respect to the height.
