old hardwood on it's last sanding
I have a vintage home. Thaf's a nice way to say I live in an old 1940's fixerupper. The white oak floors are original and may have just one sanding left. I an looking to use BIOX german wax, not poly so that they don't need to be sanded again. Is there a way to strip the floors with a paint or varnish stripper and then do a much lighter sanding or is there a type of sanding method that takes off a minimum amount of wood?

......floors are original and may have just one sanding left.
Now there's something I have always been curious about! How does one know when a full dimension hardwood floor "only has one sanding left"?
I'm serious. I don't sand hardwood. I have but I don't like it and know little about doing it. How does someone make that determination?
