Is this odor safe?

A couple of weeks ago our school removed asbestos tiles from three classrooms and used a product called Attack 2000 mastic remover (which is suppose to be low odor). There is still a strong odor in the classes and hallway. They stated they also spilled some on the hallway carpet. They claim to have washed in numerous times. Should the parents have concerns?

Did the school remove it or a professional company?

Your local fire department can answer all of your questions. I would call them.

Here's what I would be concerned about:

VAPORS ARE HEAVIER THAN AIR AND MAY TRAVEL ALONG
THE GROUND OR BE MOVED BY VENTILATION AND IGNITED
BY HEAT, PILOT LIGHTS, FLAMES AND OTHER IGNITION
SOURCES.
