New to Tiling

[/SIZE]

Hi everyone, I am new to the site and tiling.

My question is : what is the easiest way to remove ceramic tile that is mortared directly to the concrete pad. Would appreciate any suggestions that anyone has. Thanks

How big of an area do you have, and have you tried yet to remove any of it?
There are various options from hammer and chisel, to hand scraper, to renting various power tools.
A recent tile job done properly can be a challenge take up, but you may get lucky and find they pop off easily. You don't really know until you try.

When I removed the tile in our bathroom I just used a hammer and old chisel, but it wasn't a very big bathroom and came off relatively easy.

The area is not very big, maybe 4 x 6. I tried using a chisel and hammer and very small bits came up. I am afraid that I will have to use an impact chisel. Ugh !
