New Solarium...need advice???
My wife and I have aquired 3 panels of a 9 by 12 foot solarium (not thermo pane) and we are wondering about insulating the floor. It will be added to the front of the house and be about 2 feet off the ground and attached to the livingroom. Is there a problem here in insulating the floor? We plan on closing off the 2 feet below the solarium around the outside and opening (removing the front window) and adding bi-fold doors at the entrance to the solarium from the inside. We are in Western Canada on an island off Vancouver Island...lots of rain but no frost...thoughts???
