Question

New laminate floors in kitchen and living room

Please help!
I recently purchased a condo with laminate flooring in the living room and den, ceramic tiles in the kitchen.
The laminate floors are very damaged in the living where they meet the kitchen floor tiles. Iím sure that Itís water damage caused by the dishwashwer that happened when the previous owners were there. Iím sure that there are no more water leakage issues and Iím ready to replace the laminate floors. Iíd also like to remove the kitchen floor tiles so that I can put in new laminate throughout (kitchen and living room are essentially the same room/open concept layout). Are there any concerns with removing the kitchen floor tiles ? They have kitchen cabinets and a dishwasher on top. Iím afraid that if I try to remove the tiles I will damage the cabinets? Also, what are the best tools to remove the tiles ?

One of these tools will cut the tile around the cabinets, you would also need to get the diamond blade.

Well then, the only thing that remains to do is to do some invasive-discovery to determine how that floor was assembled. That's the only way I know of to determine how to dismantle it.

You already know that water will destroy laminate and you want to install it in a kitchen?
