New Hardwood Floor Finishing Cabothane Finish

I just finished installing my 3 1/4" x 3/4" red oak bare hardwood floors in our house. Ive been looking into why type of finish to use on top of the bare wood and need some input on what you professionals or others that have done this recommend.

To begin with, we like the fact that water based polyurethane does not "yellow" the wood once applied but am a little worried that it will not hold up. We really want to keep the complete natural color of these floors and worry that oil base poly will change it all to a goldish color.

I found this product:

Cabot Cabothane water-borne floor finish

and think this is what we want to go with. They claim it is as durable as finishes installed on gym floors and will not change the natural color of the wood. I just can not find much info or reviews on this to know if its a good product.

Has anyone used this out there? if so was it easy to apply? Any tips or other recommendations for a top coat would be great. Thanks!

I am not familiar with that product. I would suggest Bona Traffic HD. It will do what you are looking for in that it won't yellow over time. I would suggest Bona seal for the base coat.
