Need advice on installing indoor/outdoor carpet
I recently saw 6x8 outdoor rugs at homedepot and was thinking about using this in an apartment to cover about 200 square ft instead of using really cheap carpet tiles which would cost 3 times more. The only problem is the homedepot stuff is real thin. I'm just not sure if double sided carpet tape will be able to keep the rug/carpet completely flat on the floor without it shifting and moving around. It has almost no rigidity.

Not that I think you've stumbled onto a great idea...but if you must carpet your pace with rugs...try trowel-on carpet adhesive.
