Need advice on Bathroom subflooring

Plumber came by and gave me his recommendation. Said to leave everything the way its is. To his eye the pipes look good. Said just to change the shower valve to a pressurized single valve system. Said to even leave the lead closet bend. I'm not sure how to proceed.

And thats your opinion. You are 100% entitled to it.

And in my entitled to opinion I would lay cbu or ditra. I dont mind the extra expense/labor for my personal piece of mind.

Im not a professional but I try to listen to and take the advice of real professionals around me.

Theres a reason why there are guilds/unions with long apprenticeships for jobs like masonry, plumbing, and electrical. People like you and I, jetswet, can do those things with some instruction. But, it takes years and years to become a master at them. Thats why I listen intently to and take advice from people like Jaz.

True although I'm not a master at the trades but do all of then for a living.
You do find out what works and what doesn't work regardless pro, master or beginner. There is so much different information out there about flooring it will drive u crazy.
