Nails or Staples for Strand Bamboo Flooring

Sub floor is 3/4" OSB on top of 5/8" plywood. Wanted to use 2" flooring nails but having trouble locating a pneumatic floor nailer. May have access to a pneumatic floor stapler. Would staples be strong enough to penetrate the strand bamboo and sub floor? If so what length & gauge staple should I use?
