Nail or Staple Hardwood

I am going to install about 1200 sq ft of 3/4" oak pre-finished hardwood. Which do you prefer 2" nails or 2" staples. I will be using a Bosch air floor nailer.

I can buy either so that has no bearing on the end result. Just need to get opinions on what people have used and if one is better than the other both for ease of use and does one hold better than the other.

I'd still use the nails/cleats for solid wood. Staples are good for engineered floors since they are easier on the tongues.

Nails/cleats work just as well as staples , If you are putting an extremely hard exotic down , Then cleats penetrate better with less splitting , tacomahardwoodfloors.com
