I am installing Swiftlock laminate wood flooring by Armstrong. The flooring has attched foam base. Installation will be over concrete floor. Is an extra moisture barrier needed?
Over concrete, I would recommend you put down a 6mm poly sheeting under it and tape the seams. It runs about $0.05/sf at Lowes. Are you sure you have Armstrong? Swiftlock use to be Armstrong but Lowes took Armstrong to court and won the trademark away from them. Now some Swiftlock is Armstrong, and a decent product, and some is Kronotex junk.
I would suggest a dimpled moistur barrier such as Delta FL. I am using it in my install and it is real nice stuff....allows for air under floor. Google Delta FL
