Mohawk Hardwood Floors

I have Mohawk Hardwood floors installed, the prefinished one (Red Oak.) I'm installing a floor saddle, and I purchashed red oak which needs to be finished. My question is, do I have to stain it to match the floor? What stain color? I polyurethane a piece and it won't match. Thanks guys!
