Mixing Thinset

Can anyone recommend a 1/2" drill for mixing thinset mortar? I see where it should turn at about 300 rpm. Does anyone have any recommendations?
Thanks

I have an old Makita with a boat load of torque....it works great. You shouldn't have any problem finding a corded 1/2" drill and virtually all home improvement places. FWIW, I have used a couple of different types of mixers, and the one I like the best has a 1/2" hex shaft, with 4 rods making a mixing basket at the end. It works way better than the flat "drywall" mixer. Maybe others will share their experiences as well....

You just want to be able to turn it slow and not spin the heck out of it. LOW RPM!!!

HD and Lowe's have a nice variable speed 1/2 DeWalt 0-450 rpms for about $170.00

HD also has a Rigid for slightly less, and so does Sears with a Craftsman.

I got my first one at Harbor Freight for $40, but burned it up in a week :-)
