mixing stain for floor color
I'm in the process of laying some hardwood into my office and adjoining dinningroom areas. The color I'm trying to achieve is to resemble the finish that I have put on a refinished dresser that I did. I put a red sierra color on the dresser first and put a sealer on top with a black walnut stain on top of that with final clear topcoat. It darken the red and looks pretty good. My question is to try and recreate the color for my floors could I blend the two colors together in the can, try and get the ratio correct or would I have to layer the stain like I did for my dresser?
