Mixing floor types: laminated + stones: possible?

Hello all.
Just wanted to know if this is possible. My idea is to put laminated wood close to the walls and the center of the room with stones. something like this:

note: there should be no gap between the laminated wood and the stones

From what i have researched. Floating floor should not be glued to the floor and it needs to have a gap next to the wall in order to allow it to move and expand.

The stones, on the other hand, will have to be glued to the center of the room.

Since the laminated wood will have no gap with the stones, and the only available gap for it to move would be the usual gap with the wall.

what problems may i encounter? any tips?

can the following be done?

thanks in advance

it can be done only if the manufacturer says that the tile width is exact to the widths of the wood planks.
in other words...2 planks side by side equal (exact) to the width of one tile.

you will have to figure the tiles first with no cuts.
In other words....5 exact tiles across, and 10 exact tiles down....then the wood can be installed off that with your cuts being at the walls.
tought stuff...but a great look!
