Misunderstanding power stretching?

I'm reading a diagram that says you power stretch along 4 points of wall A, and then knee kick and tuck wall B (the length where the carpet is being stretched). Sounds like the carpet 'holds' the stretch towards wall A until it can be set along wall B. Doesn't sound right.

Look up CRI (ANSI) standards. They have a diagram.
