mexican tile/saltillo

What products are good for staining and sealing mexican tile? My tile was previously used and has been sealed. How should I prepare them for stain and resealing?

Once the saltillo has been sealed you will not be able to stain it---that tile is not fired--you will not be successful in removing the old sealer. Sorry.

If any one has a technique that I don't know of --let me know---Mike---

We are trying to redo some of our Saltillo tiles that have been water damaged or scarred up. The good tiles have a warm rich finish. When we try to strip down damaged tiles, it uncovers a yucky pink color. We purchased stain, but it doesnt cover. What type stain do you recommend?
