Melted Backing to hardwood HELP!

Hello. I have been remodeling a 1950's home that had hardwood under some very...very old carpet. All the rooms were fine except one room that used different backing and it has melted on. Some parts come up fairly easy, the majority however is like this thick hard green waxy substance.

Currently I have been using floor stripping as well as Murphy's oil soap and scraping it up with a dremmel scraper which is taking forever. More than likely I am going to have to sand the floors down and refinish it so I am not too worried about the finish.

Please tell me there is something that might get this crap up faster!
