MDF or PFJ baseboard


Which is preferred?

MDF or PFJ baseboard


Mdf is fine for paint in a dry area---Finger jointed pine is somewhat better but has a tenancy to swell at the joints---

Both are second choice materials but acceptable if budget is the issue.

Poplar of tops--solid pine would be right up there ,too.
