long rectangular tiles

On a DIY show "Bathtastic" I seen them putting down long rectangular grey tiles on the bathroom floor. Where can I find these? We have been to Lowes & Home depot & several other places. we cannot find what we're looking for. We have a small 35 ft bathroom, I painted the walls light grey, the vanity doors are shiny black & light grey. Everything is "Harley" oriented, shower curtain, cabinets are black, Harley border, (which I put up myself). We want to take out the old bath tub, put in a new double shower with black & white wall tiles, hopefully put some kind of Harley design in also. We are looking for dark grey floor tiles, something that won't make us slip & fall. Not too rough, not to smooth. We found tiles that have pebbles on them, as if you were walking on sand in our guest bathroom. Does anyone have any idea where they got these long tiles seen on DIY? Thanks, Kathy

Kathy,

You'll need to visit a real tile showroom in your area. The big boxes aren't going to stock that type of tile. Not very popular & too expensive.

Local REAL flooring Retailer

Jazz is correct, I am Flooring Retailer in Austin, TX we just did a job like that in a house this week. She used a "wood plank" vinyl tile. They are a more than a standard 12" X 12" tile , but they really look great when they are installed correctly. Mannington, Mohawk, and Earthwerks all have them just google Vinly floor panels to find a local Flooring store. Good Luck, John from Dyna Flooring

John,

I think Kathy was looking for real tiles, ceramic or porcelain. However you're right, the same lack of selection applies to vinyl flooring.

You might look at Marazzi http://www.marazzitile.com/series/riflessi-di-legno I have the "ash" in front of me and it has some grey tones in it.
