linoleum over old carpet glue


I was needing to know if there is a way to lay linoleum over old carpet glue?? Im redoing a kitchen & there's berber carpet down now. Under the carpet is glue, where they glued the carpet down onto plywood flooring... I really don't want to sand ALL THAT GLUE OFF....What can I do??

Scrape all that glue off.

linoleum over old carpet glue


There is a scraper made for that purpose or you can use a spud hoe, just make sure it's not too sharp or it will damage the plywood.
