Leak on Engineered Hardwood Flooring

In my condominium a hot water pipe that services the kitchen broke and caused a big leak in front of my door. I think I will most probably have to remove and replace the wood which is going to be a pain.

I'm not sure when I'm going to go ahead and tackle the problem. I have to wait for the water to dry out. How long a window do I have to remove/replace the wood? I'm not much of a mildew expert. Will mildew spread to affect the unaffected wood flooring as well? Is this something that I have to nip in the bud....and by that I mean, is this THE ONLY option as opposed to the BEST option.

Any suggestions will be much appreciated.

Honestly toss a fan on it. Let it dry by the fan and air moving in the house. I am willing to put money on it that it will probably return to almost normal.

Call your insurance company. I have done many insurance replacements for water damage.
