Laying tile over Saltillo tile

I want to lay tile over my Saltillo tile because of moisture problems. The slab is leaching the white eforance(sp). I was planing on using ditra underlayment. Is there any special thin set I need to use with the high leval of moisture? Thanks for any suggestions. Michael

No form of flooring or paint will work if there's moisture coming up through the slab.
Is there a drain tile and a sump pump?
Working gutters.
Grade sloping away from the foundation.
No mulch or flower beds up againt the foundation.

Saltillo is a soft unfired clay tile---water will cause it to deteriorate---so , remove it before attempting to tile this area----
