Laying 20 " Floor tile

Once I've made a cut for a partial tile to be placed along the wall can subsequent cuts be made to the same 20 " to continue down the wall--what I'm saying--can you lay tile with two cut edges--one with grout next to a full tile and the other next to the wall to be covered with base board?:thumbsup:

Shouldn't.

Can't think of an instance where a cut in the field would be necessary on straight-layed tile. The cuts will normally show and look different than the factory edge.:)

Put one down as you describe and see for yourself that the cut edge is sharper, presumably at a 90 degree angle - whereas the regular side of a tile is bevelled. You'd feel it when walking on it in bare feet.

Whats the reason for doing that? short a few tiles? trying to save $$? You might kick yourself later for not having done it well now. IMO, that is...:whistling2:
