laminate transition edge
Coming over from carpentry, didn't realize there was a "flooring" area!
Yesterday we installed laminate flooring in a neighbor's house and had one hang up: the old floor was level with the entry door to the garage and there is no threshold . We didn't take up the old flooring so by adding laminate we have raised the floor 1/2". I see our options as 1) run laminate under the door to the edge of the step and cut the door down (its wood, not steel) or 2) use a bull-nose transition piece at the door. HO doesn't want to do the bull-nose because he thinks a 1/2" step up inside the door is going to look bad. I think cutting the door down is more odd. Thoughts? How is this typically done?
