Laminate subfloor ??
Some of it does. If you thought the engineered wood was cheap wait until you install laminite. It's sure not going to do anything to increace the value of the home.
Laminite can be layed over just about any flat surface.
The issue you may have is if there's just 1X's as a subfloor is the gaps between the board allowing air in, cupped boards, and loose boards.
At a minimum I would go back and add 2, screws to every board where it touches the floor joist, add layer Of 1/4 underlayment rated plywood with fastners every 4" on the edges and 6 to 8" in the field.
Also check to see if the brand of laminite you choose needs a pad under it.
Down load the install directions, read them and follow them to a tee.
