laminate layout

planning on installing lock type laminate flooring in an apt. aprox 1000 sq.ft.
Question is which way do you run the planks...do you run them all the same direction through out the whole apt. or do you transition to a different way as you enter each room??

thanks

running the same direction is the most common way to go.

running parallel with the longest wall is a good idea. Also running parallel to the main light source is also an idea.
Some run parallel with a hall if any.

your choice.

good luck.

Thanks......

Now just need to learn the tricks to getting the flooring under all the door jams, and base board.
Also one more question....this is being installed on the second floor but the sub floor is concrete. I plan on putting down a vapor barrier but there are some cracks in the concrete floor......is there a self leveling mixture I can use to fill in the cracks.
This is a rental property so I do not want to spend too much $$$

Thanks Again

leave the cracks, no big deal.

take moldings off and reset after install is the most affordable way to go.

undercut door jambs with a jamb saw and slide lam under for a complete look.
