Laminate in Kitchen

We are getting close to looking at flooring for the kitchen reno, we don't like tile so is there a good laminate out there that will stand up in kitchen conditions? Is cork suitable for the kitchen, and can cork/laminate have under floor heating?

Laminate in Kitchen

There are differing opinions, I think laminate is a bad idea in a kitchen. If moisture gets in the seams, the backing will swell and can fall apart or cause buckling. Why not a wood-look vinyl?

Laminate in Kitchen

I am slab on grade and have laminate in the other parts of the house (same floor) the slab is not finished very well so I think it would be hard to use vinyl, unless it comes in a similar thickness as laminate.
